1.6.0 - 2026-10-12
What’s new since 1.5.1 - in the Unified Inbox an admin can now choose which replies archive a comment. MP4, MOV and WebM videos are no longer limited to 512 MB, start uploading as soon as you add them and are checked against each platform’s limits before you publish, and YouTube now receives them in the background. Your replies to comments also name the account they went out as, and a comment you archived comes back when someone else replies to it.
New features
Section titled “New features”- Choose which replies archive a comment in the Unified Inbox. When your company has more than one connected account on a platform, an admin can now choose in Inbox settings whether a reply from any of them archives a comment, which is the default, or only a reply from the account that received it. Every reply shows in the thread either way, and changes are recorded in the audit log. See Inbox settings.
Improvements
Section titled “Improvements”- Much larger videos. MP4, MOV and WebM videos are no longer limited to 512 MB. A video can now be up to 256 GB for YouTube, 4 GB for TikTok and 1 GB for Facebook. LinkedIn and Instagram take smaller videos, up to 500 MB and 300 MB, and other video file types are still limited to 512 MB. See Video limits by platform.
- Videos upload as soon as you add them. An MP4, MOV or WebM video uploads while you finish the post, with its progress shown on the video, and you can publish or save the draft once it has finished. An upload that stops can be retried, and one cut short by closing or reloading the page carries on where it stopped if you add the same file again in the same browser within a day. See Uploading a video.
- Each platform’s video limits are checked before you publish. HIVE checks each video against the size, length and file type it allows for each platform, and flags one that doesn’t fit while it’s still in the composer, instead of the post failing later. A draft with a video one of its platforms won’t take can’t be saved, and a scheduled post is checked again when it goes out. See Video limits by platform.
- YouTube receives your video in the background. Publishing or scheduling no longer waits for YouTube. The post shows as Publishing until YouTube has the whole video, then as Published or Scheduled. If YouTube can’t take it, the post is marked Failed and HIVE sends its post-failure email. See How YouTube receives your video.
- Your replies show which account they went out as. In the Unified Inbox and in a post’s conversation, a reply to a comment from one of your connected accounts now names that account, whether a teammate sent it from HIVE or it was written on the platform. See How items are marked.
- Archived comments come back when there’s something new. A comment you archived now returns to the Inbox when someone else replies to it after you archived it, instead of staying archived for good. Comments archived before this release follow the same rule, so one that someone else has replied to since will be back in your Inbox. See Archiving and retention.
- Videos over 15 minutes for YouTube are checked against your channel first. YouTube only takes longer videos from channels allowed to post them, which usually means verified channels, so HIVE checks the channel before the video is sent to YouTube and tells you if it needs verifying. See Videos over 15 minutes on YouTube.
- Edit Scheduled Post handles videos like the composer. A replacement video uploads straight away with its progress shown and is checked against the post’s platform with the same limits, and you can update the post once it has finished uploading. See Tracking your posts.
- LinkedIn videos are sent more dependably. A part of a LinkedIn video that fails briefly is now sent again instead of failing the post. See Videos.
Bugfixes
Section titled “Bugfixes”- A post that took more than a minute to publish showed an error while it was still going out, so publishing it again could post it twice. HIVE now says the post is being published, clears the composer, and sends its post-failure email if a platform then fails. See Limits and known behaviours.
- A reply as another of your accounts kept the comment in the Inbox. A reply from a different connected account than the one that received the comment, whether sent from HIVE or written on the platform, counted as someone else’s, so the comment stayed in the Inbox or came back to it. Such a reply now archives the comment, unless an admin chooses otherwise in Inbox settings. See Inbox settings.
- Archive didn’t work on a comment that had come back to the Inbox. On a comment your team had replied to and someone else then replied to, Archive left it where it was. It now moves it to Archived. See Archiving and retention.
- A comment you replied to on the platform itself could still show as awaiting a reply on its post. A post’s conversation now agrees with the Unified Inbox straight away, including for older comments the inbox no longer lists. See Open a post and its conversation.
- The Inbox and Archived lists could be out of date after you archived, restored or replied to an item. Switching between Inbox and Archived could show a list without the item you had just moved, and going back to all platforms could still show it where it was, until you reloaded the page. The lists now update as soon as you switch. See Using the inbox.
- Replying to a comment in the Archived list lowered the Inbox count beside its platform, although nothing had moved. Counts now follow where the comment ends up. See Using the inbox.
- Replying as an account that had just been disconnected signed you out, and what you had written was lost. HIVE now says the account is no longer connected, so you can choose another. See Replying.
- Answering a reply from another of your connected accounts could @mention that account on YouTube and Instagram. HIVE now recognises replies from all your connected accounts and no longer mentions them. See Replying from the post.
- Opening a draft could warn that its saved media had been removed while it was still there. This happened mostly with Reel, Story and document drafts, YouTube drafts included. A draft now opens with its media and no warning. See Reopening a draft.
- Images and videos added to a saved draft could be attached twice. Saving the draft and then saving or publishing it again sent them a second time, so the post could end up with two copies. See Saving a draft.
- The privacy list in YouTube Settings was cut off, so Private, the last choice, disappeared below the edge of the settings window. The whole list now shows as soon as it opens. See Limits and known behaviours.
- Instagram’s warnings in the composer were hard to read, because the page’s pattern showed through them. The warnings about media Instagram won’t accept and about collaborator invites now have a solid background. See Instagram extras.
- The password box on the sign-in page didn’t take your typing straight away. After entering your email you had to click it first, and pressing Enter left you in the email field. It’s now ready for typing as soon as it appears, including when you choose a password instead of Single Sign-On. See After the first time.
