Risk & Reputation

Risk & Reputation watches for early signals that could affect trust in your brand - critical comments, brand mentions, and news coverage - and turns them into alerts you can review in one place. The page header sums it up: “Early signals that could impact trust & brand.”

Open it from the Risk & Reputation Alerts card on your dashboard (See Alerts), which takes you to the Risk & Reputation screen.

That screen holds two things. Monitoring - the alerts described on this page - sits at the top. Crisis Response, a separate tool for planning and sending a crisis communication protocol, sits further down the same screen and has its own guide.

The add-on comes in two tiers, Basic and Pro. They differ in how often HIVE checks for new signals and how long alerts stay in the active view:

TierHow often HIVE checksActive-alert window
BasicLess frequently - the tier badge shows Every 4hShorter (a 7-day window)
ProMore frequently - the tier badge shows Every 15 minLonger (a 30-day window)

Your tier is shown on a badge on the monitoring screen: Risk & Reputation Basic or Risk & Reputation Pro, alongside the check frequency, the active window, and when the next check is due - Next scan at a given time, Scan in progress, or Awaiting first scan if HIVE hasn’t run its first check yet.

Monitoring draws on three kinds of signal:

  • Comments on your own posts - across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. (TikTok isn’t covered - it offers no way to read comments back.)
  • Mentions of your brand by others - on Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • News coverage of your company name - scanned in English and Swedish. The scan is language-based, not restricted to a single country.

Every signal HIVE gathers is assessed by AI before it reaches you, so you’re not reading raw comment feeds:

  • Only the signals that matter surface. Each is graded by severity, and only High and Medium severity items become alerts - lower-severity noise is dropped.
  • Each alert is summarised in plain language. HIVE writes a short title and a one-line description of why the signal is worth your attention, rather than just echoing the original text.
  • Your overall Risk Level is derived from what’s active. The Risk Level indicator (Low, Medium, High, or Critical) reflects how many High and Medium alerts are currently active - it’s a summary of the situation, not a numeric score.

Across the top you’ll see your Risk Level, an Active Alerts count, and - once signals have come in - a Sources line (for example, “Sources: 3 social, 2 news”).

Below that, alerts are split into two columns:

  • Active Alerts - “High-impact coverage and comments requiring review.” The higher-impact items that most warrant a look.
  • Watchlist - “Items to keep an eye on (lower-impact signals).” Lower-impact items worth being aware of.

Each alert shows its Impact: level, an AI-summarised title (which links out to the original source when one is available), a short description, and the source and time it was detected. When there’s nothing to show, Active Alerts reads “No active alerts detected” / “Everything looks good.” and the Watchlist reads “Watchlist is empty.”

Longer lists collapse - use Show more / Show less to expand a column. To review items you’ve already dealt with, use Risk & Reputation History.

When you’ve acted on an alert - or decided it isn’t relevant - archive it so it leaves the active view:

  1. Hover over the alert and choose Ignore or Handled.

  2. A short dialog opens - Ignore Alert or Mark as Handled - asking for a note. For a handled alert: “Briefly describe what action was taken. This is saved for audit purposes.” For an ignored one: “Briefly explain why this alert is not relevant. This is saved for audit purposes.”

  3. The note is required - the confirm button stays disabled until you’ve written something. Confirm to archive.

Archived alerts move out of the active view and into Risk & Reputation History, where they stay on record with the note you left.
