The LinkedIn integration is still in development and isn’t available to connect yet.

HIVE connects to your LinkedIn Company Pages so you can publish posts, keep up with comments, and see how your Pages are performing - alongside your other platforms. You can connect more than one.

Before you start: what you need

HIVE connects LinkedIn Company Pages (organisations), not personal profiles. To connect one, both of these must be true:

1. You have a LinkedIn Company Page. If you don’t, see Create a LinkedIn Page.
2. You have an admin role on that Page that can publish - a super admin or content admin (see LinkedIn Page admin roles). You’ll sign in with the LinkedIn account that has this access.

This is the most common reason a connection fails

If you sign in with a LinkedIn account that doesn’t administer any Company Page, the connection stops and you’ll see: “No LinkedIn company pages found. HIVE manages company pages only - please connect a LinkedIn account that has admin access to at least one company page.”

You also need to be a HIVE admin

Only HIVE admins can connect a platform. If you don’t see a + button on the LinkedIn card, you’re not an admin - ask one of your admins to connect it (you can find them in Settings → Team & Roles).

Connect LinkedIn, step by step

1. Open your profile menu (top-right) and choose Connect Platforms.

2. Find the LinkedIn card and select the + button in its corner.

3. A window opens on LinkedIn. Sign in and approve the access HIVE asks for.

4. Back in HIVE, the Select LinkedIn Pages window appears. Tick the Company Page(s) you want to connect, then choose Connect.

Your Company Page now shows as connected on the Connect Platforms page.

What to expect during connection

• You sign in on LinkedIn. The sign-in screen and the screen listing HIVE’s access are LinkedIn’s own - HIVE never sees or stores your LinkedIn password.
• You approve what HIVE can do - publish posts, read and reply to comments, and see your Pages’ analytics.
• You choose your Pages in HIVE. After LinkedIn, HIVE shows the Company Pages you administer so you can pick which to connect.
• Your existing posts come in. Once a Page is connected, HIVE imports the posts already published on it so they sit alongside what you publish through HIVE. See Imported posts.

If it doesn’t work

Most problems are one of these

• No + button on the LinkedIn card - you’re signed in to HIVE as a non-admin. Ask an admin to connect it (see Settings → Team & Roles).
• “No LinkedIn company pages found” - the LinkedIn account you signed in with doesn’t administer any Company Page (it’s a personal profile only, or it has no admin role). Sign in with the account that has a super admin or content admin role on the Page, or get that role first (links above), then reconnect.
• Your Page isn’t offered to pick - the LinkedIn account you signed in with doesn’t have an admin role on that Page. Sign in with the right account, or ask a super admin of the Page to give you access or connect it themselves.

Disconnect or reconnect

• Disconnect: on the Connect Platforms page, select your connected Company Page, choose Disconnect Account, and confirm. It’s removed from HIVE and you can reconnect it later. (Admins only.)
• Reconnect or refresh: connect again with the + button, or use Re-authenticate Account on the connected Page to refresh its access.
